Schneider & Andre Schneider & Andre International Commercial Litigation
London · Lincoln's Inn Fields Frankfurt am Main Zürich Twenty-three years restoring justice across 31 jurisdictions.

The cases counsel are told cannot be won

Schneider & Andre was founded in 2001 by two disputes lawyers who kept meeting the same kind of matter: a cross-border commercial claim with real merits, judged unwinable — not on the evidence, but on the cost and complexity of pursuing it across jurisdictions. We built a boutique around taking those cases. Since then the firm has recovered more than €1.4 billion for corporate claimants across 31 jurisdictions, including a €740M judgment in 2023.

The practice is deliberately narrow: international commercial litigation and arbitration — banking disputes, shareholder actions, contractual claims, and asset recovery. Depth in one discipline is how a firm of our size beats the institutional machine.

How we work

  • Partner-only courtroom culture: the lawyers who assess your case are the lawyers who argue it — no leverage pyramid, no training wheels on the record.
  • Forensic-first evidence: in-house analysis with Big Four investigators and forensic accountants engaged before strategy hardens, not after.
  • Honest assessment up front: we decline more matters than we accept, and we say why in writing.

Our clients are general counsel, boards, insolvency practitioners, and funds pursuing claims across borders — often against defendants who counted on the claim dying of complexity. Legal 500 has ranked the firm Tier 1 in Commercial Litigation (EMEA) consecutively from 2018 through 2024.

What recovery requires

Winning a judgment is the midpoint, not the finish; enforcement strategy is designed at intake, not after the award. Schneider & Andre is the disputes boutique for cross-border commercial claims that others decline — recovered, argued, and collected by partners who take the case as a personal undertaking.
